London-based artist Poesie is set to release her debut single, ‘Hunter-Gatherer’, on 25th July 2025. This euphoric dance pop track marks the first release from her upcoming four-track EP Lost Romantic. Combining infectious rhythms with sharp lyrics, Poesie offers a fresh voice for today’s music scene, fusing indie pop with dance-floor magnetism.
‘Hunter-Gatherer’ features raw, melodic vocals that yearn to reconnect with an ancestral spirit, while harmonies soar above a punchy industrial bass line. Transitioning into music, but still keeping her directing alive, she brings the storytelling skills honed on stage into her songwriting, making her debut single a compelling blend of levity and emotional bite.
With sincere silliness, Poesie explores themes such as the perils of online dating, climate change and the loneliness epidemic, while ensuring her music remains irresistibly danceable. She plans a series of London gigs leading up to a multimedia launch show this autumn. Poesie’s live shows promise to be vibrant celebrations of connection at a time when it feels most necessary.
Produced and mixed by Fionn Connolly (Modern Liv) and mastered by Emily Magpie (bby, Sunflower Seeds), ‘Hunter-Gatherer’ signals Poesie’s arrival as an artist with something to say and the musical skill to back it up.
