Sienna Spiro releases orchestral ballad ‘The Visitor’

A huge vocal, sweeping strings and deeply personal lyrics define Sienna’s latest release as momentum around the rising star keeps building.

Sienna Spiro returns with her new single ‘The Visitor’, a dramatic orchestral ballad which premiered as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record. The track arrives through Capitol Records and adds another emotional chapter to Sienna’s growing catalogue.

Fans had been asking for this one for months. Now the finished recording delivers a cinematic moment built around piano, sweeping strings and Sienna’s commanding vocal.

The track opens with a swelling arrangement performed by a 20-piece string orchestra led and arranged by Oscar-winning composer Peter Rotter. As the instrumentation parts, piano and voice move forward, allowing the lyrics to land with full force.

Sienna wrote and produced the single alongside Omer Fedi and Michael Pollack. Together they shape a ballad that centres on vulnerability and emotional uncertainty.

In the opening lines she sings, “Say that you love me, say I’m all you need / In the back of my mind, I know I’m temporary.” The lyric immediately sets the tone.

Through the rest of the song, Sienna explores the uneasy feeling of existing in someone’s life without permanence. The orchestra gradually returns as the track builds, eventually rising alongside her vocal for a large closing moment.

Sienna shared the personal story behind the song.

“It took me nine tries to write ‘The Visitor.’ I’ve felt like one my entire life. I’m terrified of impermanence, of things ending, of people leaving. It took me years to find the right words for that feeling.

“This song isn’t just a love song. It’s an ode to my life. A request to not be just a passing experience in someone’s life, and learning to live with impermanence.”

A sold-out tour and growing global momentum

The new single arrives as Sienna’s audience continues to expand worldwide. Her previous single ‘Die On This Hill’ reached number nine on the UK Official Charts and Spotify’s Global Chart, climbed to number nineteen on the Billboard Hot 100, and has already passed 345 million streams.

Live performances helped drive the song’s rise. Sienna delivered a standout performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, earning a standing ovation from the audience. She also appeared on Later… with Jools Holland and TODAY.

Earlier in her catalogue, the single ‘You Stole the Show’ reached number fifty-five on the Billboard Hot 100, while her Live at Apple Music Radio session introduced more listeners to her voice.

Touring has played a major role in that growth as well. Sienna opened six nights of Sam Smith’s To Be Free: New York City residency during 2025, bringing her music to a large live audience.

Now the spotlight shifts to her own headline run. Her ‘The Visitor Tour’ sold out within seconds when tickets first went on sale, with additional dates also selling out immediately.

The U.S. leg began at the Troubadour in West Hollywood and concludes with two nights at New York’s Bowery Ballroom. Afterwards the tour heads across the Atlantic for a UK and European run.

The shows begin in Dublin before travelling through Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London. From there the tour continues to Cologne, Brussels and Paris.

Alongside the headline dates, Sienna will also appear at London’s All Points East festival later this year.

Recognition across the industry continues to follow her rise. She entered 2026 shortlisted for the BRIT Awards Critics’ Choice award and appeared on Vevo DSCVR’s Artists to Watch list.

Sienna’s musical path began long before those milestones. She started writing songs at the age of ten and developed her sound through influences such as Frank Ocean, Etta James, Frank Sinatra and Amy Winehouse.

Those inspirations helped shape a blend of soul, jazz and modern pop production which first appeared clearly on her debut EP Sink Now, Swim Later.

With ‘The Visitor’, Sienna moves further into orchestral territory while keeping her voice firmly at the centre of the song.

Lyrics

We lay on towers, on rented time
I’m yours for hours, you’re always mine
All things expire, I know you won’t stay
But I seem to inspire you to say

Say that you love me
Say I’m all you need
In the back of my mind
I know I’m temporary
You’re holding me for the night
For some pleasure if that’s all we are
Know I’ll always be a visitor, mmm
In your arms

It’s in my nature to be cynical
I want to be remembered, so I get hysterical
I wanna be that one thing, some’ special to you
Say you won’t forget me, but you always do

Then say that you love me
Say I’m all you need
In the back of my mind
I know I’m tеmporary
You’re holding me for the night
For somе pleasure if that’s all we are
Know I’ll always be a visitor, mmm
In your arms, in your arms, oh

Mmm… In your arms

Say that you love me
Say I’m all you need
In the back of my mind
I know I’m temporary
You’re holding me for the night
For some pleasure if that’s all we are
Know I’ll always be a visitor, mmm
Know I’ll always be a visitor in your arms
