Lydia Reece

Lydia Reece is a Liverpool artist whose music blends neo-soul, R&B and jazz with an orchestral and theatrical approach. Her debut album Looking Glass (Live) was recorded with a live ensemble and arranged by pianist and co-writer Jack Drummond-Joy. The ten-track project follows the heightened feelings that can accompany relationships during the teenage years and early twenties, moving through attraction, conflict, collapse and renewed understanding. Lydia Reece uses lush harmonies, melismatic vocals and jazz-influenced cadences while leaving space for direct lyrical storytelling. The album’s live presentation includes strings, backing singers and horns, reinforcing the sense of a continuous dramatic performance.
