Thundermoon

Thundermoon are an Edinburgh synth-pop trio formed by Lorna Kelly, K Messer and Shaz Jamieson. Their music combines 1980s synthesisers, 1990s dance influence and independently produced electronic beats. ‘Ritual’ examines the destructive habits that can develop inside toxic relationships, particularly the uneasy overlap between familiarity, safety and hurt. The track led towards the EP We Can Do Better Than This, which also explores environmental fear, powerlessness and collective responsibility. Thundermoon have performed at Knockengorroch, King Tut’s and Kelburn Garden Party while developing a sound influenced by CHVRCHES, LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk and Underworld.
