Adeyemo

Adeyemo is a Welsh-born, Scotland-based singer-songwriter whose music brings together blues, pop and soul. Earlier songs including ‘Social Distance’ and ‘Five a Day’ helped establish a warm vocal style and an interest in writing beneath the surface of everyday experience. ‘What is the Lesson?’ grew from a relationship that ended before it fully began and asks what can be learned from connections that never had the opportunity to develop. Its intimate production keeps Adeyemo’s voice and reflective storytelling at the centre. Adeyemo taught herself singing, songwriting and music theory after leaving school without formal musical training, developing her craft independently through sustained practice.
