Dolly Doops
London
Dolly Doops is a London-based queer femme artist whose music combines alt-pop, darker pop textures and synth-pop production. Her writing explores anxiety, mental overload, empathy, vulnerability and the paralysis created by a busy neurodivergent mind. The single ‘I Need A Doctor’, the lead release from her forthcoming debut EP, begins as stripped-back pop before building through harmonies, vocoders, vocal effects and additional textures from collaborator Seegz. Dolly balances difficult subject matter with humour, colour and a playful visual identity.
