The Kaves

The Kaves are a Glasgow four-piece making alternative rock on an increasingly enormous scale. Formed by Dave MacDiarmid and Liam Prior, with Liam’s brother Sean and drummer Evan Hunter completing the line-up, they combine towering guitars, soaring melodies and a distinctly Scottish heart with influences stretching from indie and shoegaze to grunge and classic rock.

After establishing themselves through Glasgow’s fiercely healthy guitar scene, the band have steadily expanded their ambitions, taking their music from packed hometown rooms to shows further afield. Their latest EP Exile pushes that sound somewhere bigger: power chords, vulnerability and walls of guitar built for considerably larger stages.

The Kaves make music like they’re already playing them.
