Irvine, Scotland
Trashcan Sinatras are a Scottish indie-rock band formed in Irvine in 1986 by Francis Reader, Paul Livingston, John Douglas, Stephen Douglas and Davy Hughes. Their catalogue began with the 1990 debut album Cake and continued through records including I’ve Seen Everything, A Happy Pocket, Weightlifting, In The Music and Wild Pendulum. The band returned with the Lay Of The Land EP in 2022, while a 2023 reissue of A Happy Pocket reached the UK Official Albums Chart. Their later work retains the melodic, reflective character associated with the band while exploring creativity, perseverance and the choice to follow an individual path.
