Alex Amor Unveils New Single ‘Meet On The Moon’

Alex Amor returns with ‘Meet On The Moon’, a dreamy and emotionally resonant new single that introduces the world of her forthcoming full-length project.

Alex Amor has shared her new single, ‘Meet On The Moon’, a dreamy and emotionally resonant release that opens the door to her forthcoming full-length project. Out now via VERO Music, the track finds the Scottish singer-songwriter stepping into a more expansive alt-pop space while preserving the intimacy that has shaped her work so far.

Co-produced by Amor alongside Karma Kid, ‘Meet On The Moon’ was written during a month-long creative reset in Glasgow, a period that marked a clear turning point in her creative direction. Built from shimmering guitars, soft-focus synths and hypnotic melodies, the single unfolds with a hazy, slow-burning pull that feels both intimate and widescreen.

At its core, the song is a meditation on grief and feminine mysticism. Amor wrote it in tribute to a close friend she lost, imagining her watching back from the moon and channelling that sense of memory, spirit and otherworldly presence into a track that feels celestial without losing its emotional clarity.

A first look at a bigger body of work

Amor has described ‘Meet On The Moon’ as a defining song within this next chapter, written at a time when she wanted to create something that felt entirely different from what had come before. That instinct for reinvention runs throughout the track, which carries a sense of personal reclamation as well as a broader artistic confidence.

The release continues the momentum built across her earlier EPs Love Language, The Art Of Letting Go and Super Sonic. Along the way, Amor has earned support from BBC Radio 1 and publications including DIY, CLASH, Dork, Wonderland, Notion and The Line of Best Fit, while surpassing 7 million streams across her catalogue.

Review

What makes ‘Meet On The Moon’ land so effectively is the balance it strikes between softness and emotional force. The production never overreaches, instead letting the song drift in with a gentle glow while Amor’s writing gives it real weight, turning grief into something tender, reflective and strangely comforting.

There is also a quiet confidence in the way the single expands her sound without sacrificing closeness. Rather than chasing scale for its own sake, Amor uses atmosphere with precision, making ‘Meet On The Moon’ feel like a graceful progression that deepens her alt-pop instincts and leaves a lasting impression.

With live appearances coming up at Liverpool Sound City in Liverpool on 3 May and The Great Escape in Brighton on 15 May, ‘Meet On The Moon’ arrives as a strong introduction to the next phase of Alex Amor’s songwriting. It stands comfortably on its own while pointing towards a full-length project that looks set to widen her world even further.
