DENYM

DENYM are a five-piece band formed by musicians with backgrounds as solo artists, session players and performers. Elijah Chase and Gracie Val share lead vocals, with the group building a sound rooted in pop while drawing on country influences and the different musical instincts of all five members. Rather than dividing roles evenly, DENYM shape each song around what it needs, allowing either vocalist to lead or using both perspectives when the material calls for it.

Their collaborative approach developed as the members moved away from showcasing individual ability and towards rewriting, rearranging and sometimes removing parts to strengthen the finished song. DENYM are preparing to introduce that collective identity with their debut single, a feel-good track combining large-scale pop energy, male and female vocals and elements of country music. The band also see live performance as central to what they are building, with plans for their songs and personalities to become the focus rather than the members’ previous individual careers.
