Carla J Easton

Carla J Easton is an indie-pop songwriter whose career includes four solo albums, the bands TeenCanteen and Poster Paints, live work with The Vaselines and participation in the Hen Hoose collective. Her album I Think That I Might Love You marked a move towards guitar-led writing after years centred on keyboards. The record was produced by Howard Bilerman and recorded live at Glasgow’s Chem 19 studio after one day of rehearsal. Its songs focus on friendship, connection and absence, with contributions from Simon Liddell, MALKA, Man of the Minch, Brett Nelson and Darren Hayman. Opening track ‘Oh Yeah’ was co-written with Simon Liddell and introduces the album’s collaborative approach.
