Emma Tea is an alt-pop singer-songwriter whose music moves between glitchy electronic production, hyperpop textures, drum and bass and lighter vocal melodies. Her songs examine manipulation, emotional exhaustion, difficult friendships, attraction and the point at which clarity breaks through a damaging relationship. Releases including ‘Aphelia’, ‘Why Should We Be Friends?’, ‘So Sick’, ‘House on Fire’ and ‘Gallows’ chart her development towards a faster and more club-focused sound. ‘Gallows’ was produced by Jennings Couch with co-production from Emma.
