Fler are stepping boldly into 2025 with three fresh singles, each brimming with emotion, purpose and punch. The Port Talbot-based band blend gritty guitars with melodic vocals, reviving the raw energy of 2000s pop-punk while adding a distinctly British emo edge.
Their first release, ‘You Don’t Know Yourself’, drops on 18 April. It’s a fast, anthemic track that tackles the painful experience of being mislabelled — something many in the trans community relate to deeply.
Trans anthem with power and heart
Vocalist Rosie Williams explains, “You Don’t Know Yourself is essentially the story of my life. People don’t agree with my identity, so they tell me what they think I am. If you could sum up my feelings about the naysayers, this would be it.”
This is a song that doesn’t hold back. Its message is loud, clear, and emotional. With distorted guitars and commanding vocals, the track is both cathartic and catchy, giving listeners a reason to scream along.
Softer, but still full of feeling
On 23 May, Fler will share their second single, ‘Bus Stop’. This one shows a different side — more reflective, but still rooted in the band’s signature sound. Rosie describes it as “a light-hearted love letter to an ex,” a genuine apology wrapped in warmth and nostalgia.
“There were things I said and did as a teenager that I regret,” Rosie admits. “This song is me asking for forgiveness.” While she originally released the track under another name, this version, she says, finally does it justice.
A loud call to wake up
The final release in the trio is ‘Get Along’, set for 20 June. It shifts the focus outward. Instead of introspection, this one takes aim at those who use their power to spread hate.
“There’s a lot of hate circulating the world right now,” Rosie says. “This is an invitation to leave all that behind. To get over yourself and learn to get along.”
The track is direct, urgent, and unafraid to challenge. It closes the release run with a punch, leaving listeners thinking as well as singing.
Together, these three singles highlight Fler’s range — from personal pain to social commentary, all wrapped in dynamic, hook-laden songs.
All singles will be available on streaming platforms. Follow Fler online for more music, behind-the-scenes content, and tour announcements.
