Lydia Cass to release debut single ‘Benched’ in February

One of our artists to watch in 2024 is set to release her stunning debut single, ‘Benched’, on 20th February. Lydia Cass has been on of our favourites for some time and it’s exciting to see her taking her first steps into releasing her music. Benched is a gorgeous, often ethereal, track that it’s impossible not to fall in love with.

Lydia is a 17-year-old singer and songwriter from Norfolk, is currently honing her skills in vocal artistry at Access College, Norfolk. Although she has mostly performed cover songs to date, her presence is well known in the local music scene, having graced various venues and events, including the renowned Latitude Festival.  A fan of Sam Fender, she finds inspiration in his music, alongside other artists such as Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers and Amy Winehouse. Not just limited to her artistic talents, Lydia is also an accomplished athlete, having represented the Eastern Counties in rugby union at both the under-15 and under-18 levels, showcasing her diverse range of talents and interests.

Talking about ‘Benched’ Lydia says “After working on benched for a very long time, i find it is so relatable for others, this song means so much to me and is an expression of multiple instances i have experienced in my teenage life, which i know others experience too.
