Sophia Fisher explores emotional self-sabotage on soul-stirring single ‘Twenty Times This’

Cleveland-based neo-soul artist Sophia Fisher unveils her new single ‘Twenty Times This’ on 30th May 2025, pairing emotionally rich vocals with a striking visual premiere on VEVO. The track, a powerful meditation on avoidant behaviour in relationships, marks a confident step forward for the 23-year-old singer-songwriter and pianist.

With lyrical honesty and a genre-blurring sound that merges pop accessibility and neo-soul depth, Fisher delivers an affecting portrait of the love we miss out on when we fear vulnerability. Inspired by artists like Sienne Spiro, Adele and Katie Tupper, her songwriting balances warmth and pain in equal measure.

Working alongside Cleveland producer Nate Saggio and UK-based James Grunwell of Unitary Audio, Sophia has crafted a distinctive soul-pop blend. Drawing on her classical piano background and a production journey that began in 2018, she brings clarity and control to her musical storytelling.

A cinematic debut from a rising artist

The VEVO-premiered music video for ‘Twenty Times This’, also launching on 30th May, adds cinematic depth to the single’s emotional core. Directed by cinematographer Jake Harness who recently worked on James Gunn’s upcoming Superman film, the video captures the reflective intensity that runs through Fisher’s work.

“This track is about avoidant behaviour in relationships and the love we miss out on because of it,” says Sophia. “It’s one of the most honest songs I’ve written. I think a lot of people will recognise themselves in it.”

Blending hip-hop, jazz and R&B influences through a modern pop lens, Sophia Fisher represents a new wave of independent artists reshaping the contours of neo-soul. With over 100,000 streams to date and a steadily growing fanbase, she brings both polish and heart to her debut.
