Austel

Austel is a Devon-born, London-based artist, songwriter and producer whose music moves between ethereal pop, acoustic alt-folk and indie-folk. Before beginning her solo career in 2018, she worked as a session musician, performed across the UK and appeared at festivals including Glastonbury. Her catalogue uses piano, nylon-string guitar, synthesisers, field recordings and spacious production to explore loss, recovery, memory, homecoming, relationships and personal change. Austel holds a first-class MA in Creative Music Production, has been long-listed for Breakthrough Producer and Self-Producing Artist of the Year at the MPG Awards, and is part of 2% Rising.
