We’re addicted to Grace Calver – which is a good thing as that’s the title of her new single

Grace Calver

Grace Calver has fast become one of our favourite artists. The 18 year old from Essex lists the likes of Beebadoobee and Maisie Peters amongst her influences so it’s no wonder that we’ve become addicted to her. And given her new track is titled ‘Addicted’ that’s probably a good thing.

Out on 30th September, ‘Addicted’ is NOT a love song as Grace is at pains to point out. Talking about the track she says “Life sucks when the person you’re addicted to doesn’t notice you exist. This song is about a slightly obsessive crush – and craving someone’s time and attention a bit too much! I intended to use strong words such as “crave” and “addicted” in the lyrics to show that it might not be a healthy situation, but also to highlight how strong the feelings can be in these situations.  It may sound upbeat, happy and positive on first listen, with the belief they will eventually be mine, but the lyrics and vocals carry a sinister air of the stalker about them!
