Rob Prince revisits ‘Manningtree’ with an Ibiza house remix

Three years after his debut, Rob connects the club soundtrack of his youth with family life on the Essex/Suffolk estuary.

An Essex/Suffolk border town becomes Rob Prince’s own Balearic escape on ‘Manningtree (Do You Remember?)’. Out today, 30th October, the Ibiza-inspired house remix celebrates three years since his debut single, ‘Manningtree’, arrived in October 2023.

Rob Prince describes a different setting for the song this time. The original drew on local folk storytelling, while the remix imagines Manningtree as a party island, pairing memories of summers at home and abroad with warm piano chords and rolling grooves.

Produced locally at Black Cactus Studios, the track runs at 120 BPM. Rob draws on the terrace anthems he grew up with, naming ‘Groovejet’ and ‘Another Chance’ as reference points for its nostalgic house direction.

Club memories and life on the estuary

Behind the sunset setting sits a connection between two periods of Rob’s life. He describes the remix as linking the club soundtrack of his youth with raising a family on the estuary.

“It’s a track written by a local person, about a local place and produced locally at Black Cactus Studios,” he says. “But it’s made for anyone anywhere in the world to enjoy!”
