Hohnen Ford

North London

Hohnen Ford is a North London singer-songwriter whose music blends jazz, folk and classic pop. She studied Jazz Voice at the Royal Academy of Music and developed an audience through live streams and performances at venues including Vortex and St Pancras Old Church. Her second EP I Wish I Had A God was dedicated to her friend and mentor Imogen Shelley Moore, whose death shaped its writing. Songs including ‘Honest Mistake’, ‘Another Lifetime’, ‘Only Way Out’ and ‘Skin Deep’ combine lyrical candour with arrangements influenced by smoky jazz clubs and classic cinema. Her wider influences include Björk, Elliott Smith and Beyoncé.
