Nerina Pallot’s Fires gets the vinyl release it deserves
Over a year since Fires was first released, Nerina Pallot has finally made an impact with a new record deal…

United Kingdom
Nerina Pallot is a British singer-songwriter whose catalogue combines piano-led pop, folk influences and carefully observed lyricism. Her second album, Fires, became a defining release through songs including ‘Everybody’s Gone to War’ and ‘Sophia’. Initially issued in 2005, the record built its audience gradually and later received renewed attention through a vinyl reissue. Nerina Pallot has continued to release music independently and through a range of label arrangements, developing a body of work centred on melody, detailed language and an expressive vocal performance. Her songs frequently examine relationships, politics, ageing and the tensions within ordinary adult life.
