Etaoin

London

Etaoin is an Irish-British singer-songwriter who began releasing music in 2021 after growing up surrounded by Irish traditional music and the varied musical culture of west London. A songwriter from childhood, she became the youngest winner of the Fleadh Cheoil All-Ireland songwriting competition at the age of 11 before developing a modern sound shaped by acoustic intimacy, poetic lyrics and memorable pop melodies. Her early releases established a close connection with listeners through songs that approached love, insecurity and personal uncertainty with candour.

Songs including ‘I Hate How I Look in My Head’, ‘Dead to Me’, ‘Golden’ and ‘What Did You Want From Me?’ show the range within Etaoin’s writing, moving between struggles with self-perception, sharp frustration and the confusion of relationships that never find a clear ending. Alongside streaming success, she has performed at the Royal Albert Hall and Trafalgar Square, supported artists including Beoga, Gavin James and The Dreggs, and built a growing live audience around songs that retain their private, confessional character on larger stages.
