Etaoin’s gorgeous new Christmas cover might be just the thing you needed to get you into that festive spirit

Love it or hate it, Christmas is almost here and there’s no denying that a good Christmas tune can melt even the least festive of hearts. So, what do you get when you cross an all-time Christmas classic with the voice of an angel? We can answer that – it’s Etaoin’s utterly beautiful take on Wizzard’s ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’. We genuinely didn’t realise how gorgeous that tune could sound until we heard this.

Talking about her inspiration for the cover Etaoin says “I’ve always felt such a strong emotional connection to Christmas time, it’s by far my favourite time of year. I love how everybody is that bit merrier, people smile more readily.“

Despite it being a relatively quiet year for new music from Etaoin, this latest single comes of the back of the heartbreaking, yet mesmerising, ‘I Hate How I Look In My Head’. We only stumbled upon her back in August with that release and now she is pretty much on the top of our all time favourites list. Etaoin’s back catalogue is full of stunning music, each single and EP thoughtfully crafted and delivered with some of the most beautiful vocals we’ve heard.
