Dorothy Ella

Dorothy Ella is a Midlands singer-songwriter whose music brings together pop, disco, funk, soul and R&B. Her debut EP Feeling So Free grew from a road trip through New Zealand and a period of heartbreak, change and renewed self-understanding. Across six tracks, the collection traces a path from loss towards freedom and includes ‘Talk’, ‘Do You Still Lie? (Probably)’, ‘Enemy’ and ‘Version Of You’. Dorothy Ella uses groove-led arrangements and clear storytelling to explore imagined relationships, personal strength and reconnecting with a voice that had been lost. Earlier releases including ‘Letting Me Out’, ‘Running Out Of Time’ and ‘All You Say Is No’ document the development of her sound through independent releases and live performances.
