Beth McKenzie

Beth McKenzie is a Stockport-born, Manchester-based queer-pop songwriter known for direct writing about identity, mental health, relationships and body image. Her debut EP Does This Make Me A Bitter Woman? established a catalogue built around humour, vulnerability and uncomfortable personal truths. The deluxe edition added ‘Catching The Next Train’ and ‘My Skeleton Mocks Me’, two songs that extend the project’s examination of escape, anxiety and the relationship between the mind and body. Beth McKenzie uses accessible pop arrangements to place difficult subjects inside songs designed to feel conversational and immediate.
