Hen Hoose

Hen Hoose is a Glasgow-based collective founded by Tamara Schlesinger in response to gender inequality in the music industry. The project brings together women and non-binary songwriters, musicians and producers to collaborate across pop, alt-pop, folk, electronic music and R&B. Its debut album Equaliser was created remotely during the pandemic, while The Twelve brought twelve artists together at Black Bay Studio on the Isle of Lewis for a week of shared writing and recording. The collective works without a fixed hierarchy, with writing, vocals and production responsibilities moving between its members.
